The man who brings it. A voice to match Stax, Motown, and LA’s finest. Shaun’s versatile baritone will give you chills and have you and your mates moving like it was the good old days. A music connoisseur of the highest order, he wears his influences on his sweaty, well worn sleeve. You want Shaun singing at your party.
The Second Line:
A master of ghost notes, Eric cut his teeth playing the music of James Brown and his funk compatriots in the Sydney music scene. Groove is where it’s at for Eric, and this strong foundation is the bedrock that The Swaggers is built upon. Feel like dancing?
Calm, collected, salty. If he’s not behind his keyboard, he’s probably on a surfboard. Mick brings his unique love of Jazz and Dub vibes to the mix, an essential ingredient in The Swaggers gumbo. Mick has a strong history performing in the South Coast wedding scene, and this is evident when the band starts up.
The Low End: Too much is never enough. That's how Skinner sees it. This guy provides enough sub frequencies to satisfy all your bass desires. A versatile musician who easily compliments the groove set by Eric, and rounds out the powerhouse that is The Swaggers rhythm section.
The All Rounder:
Are you experienced? Subtle yet soulful, Matt brings his broad musical knowledge to the table. With a number of obscure food allergies, he has developed a taste for great tone and colourful voicings.
The T-Section: Some occasions call for something a little extra special. Meet the T-Section. Tommy Trumpet and Tenor Tye. Not for the faint hearted, the T-Section only appears for those who really want to get down and party like tomorrow isn't coming.
Short in stature, but big in chops, Tye is a virtuoso of epic proportions. Think Coltrane, Cannonball, Redman. His lines inspire us to play outside ourselves every gig.
Tom’s trumpet is penetrating, yet rich. His bluesy phrasing emotes a feeling of nostalgia whilst feeling incredibly current. Did you know he once played at the Glastonbury Festival?
These two incredibly versatile musicians allow us to expand our repertoire to play all the swing, soul, ska, r&b and pop tunes you could want.
